Celebramos el Día de Andalucía y Carnaval… ¡de cuento!

Seguimos compartiendo experiencias dentro de nuestro enriquecedor intercambio con el colegio de Tulsa, Oklahoma, y en esta ocasión hemos querido mostrarles una de las celebraciones más especiales de nuestro calendario escolar.

La clase de 1º de Primaria ha celebrado conjuntamente el Día de Andalucía y el Carnaval, uniendo tradición, cultura y diversión en una jornada muy especial. La temática elegida este año para Carnaval ha sido los cuentos tradicionales, y nuestra clase se ha sumergido de lleno en la magia de Blancanieves y los 7 enanitos.

El aula se llenó de Blancanieves, enanitos y príncipes que, junto a otros personajes de cuentos de otros cursos, vivieron una jornada inolvidable. A través de esta celebración, nuestro alumnado no solo disfrutó de la fantasía y la creatividad de los disfraces, sino que también continuó aprendiendo sobre Andalucía, sus símbolos, su cultura y sus costumbres, reforzando así el conocimiento y el amor por nuestra comunidad autónoma.

Ha sido una experiencia llena de ilusión, aprendizaje y convivencia que hemos querido compartir con nuestros amigos de Tulsa como parte de nuestro intercambio cultural.

Celebrating Andalusia Day and Carnival… A Fairytale Experience!

We continue sharing special moments as part of our cultural exchange with our partner school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This time, our 1st Grade class celebrated two important events at the same time: Andalusia Day and Carnival.

This year’s Carnival theme was traditional fairy tales, and our class chose the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The classroom was filled with Snow Whites, dwarfs, princes, and other storybook characters who enjoyed a joyful and meaningful celebration together.

Through this experience, our students not only had fun dressing up and bringing the story to life, but they also continued learning about Andalusia, its symbols, culture, and traditions, deepening their understanding of our autonomous community each year.

It was a day full of excitement, creativity, and learning — and we were delighted to share it with our friends in Tulsa as part of our exchange project.

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Al comienzo de este nuevo año, hemos vivido un momento muy especial dentro de nuestro intercambio cultural con el colegio amigo de Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Nuestro querido Paje Real nos ha traído una sorpresa llena de ilusión: las felicitaciones de Año Nuevo enviadas por los niños y niñas del colegio de Tulsa. La visita estuvo cargada de emoción, nervios y sonrisas, ya que nuestro alumnado recibió los mensajes con muchísima alegría y agradecimiento.

Las felicitaciones, realizadas con tanto cariño y dedicación, han hecho que nuestros niños y niñas se sientan aún más unidos a sus amigos y amigas al otro lado del océano, reforzando los lazos de este bonito proyecto internacional.

Desde nuestro centro queremos dar las gracias al alumnado y profesorado de Tulsa por su trabajo, su creatividad y el afecto que han puesto en cada mensaje. Ha sido una forma maravillosa de comenzar el año compartiendo ilusión, amistad y aprendizaje.

At the beginning of the year, we received a lovely New Year greeting from our friends in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our Royal Page, teacher Bea, delivered the messages to our students, who received them with great excitement and gratitude.

Thank you to the children and teachers in Tulsa for your beautiful work and for sharing so much love with us. We are very happy to continue this special cultural exchange together! 🌍💛

 

Agradecimiento al colegio de Tulsa por la actividad “Turkey in Disguise”

    Seguimos avanzando en nuestro enriquecedor intercambio cultural con el colegio de Tulsa, Oklahoma, y en esta ocasión queremos enviar un agradecimiento muy especial a nuestros amigos estadounidenses.

El alumnado de Tulsa nos ha compartido el divertido cuento “Turkey Trouble” junto con sus trabajos, una propuesta que ha entusiasmado a nuestros niños y niñas de 1º de Primaria. La historia del pavo que intenta disfrazarse para evitar ser elegido para la cena de Acción de Gracias ha despertado risas, creatividad y muchas ganas de participar.

Tras disfrutar del cuento, nuestro alumnado ha realizado la actividad “Turkey in Disguise”, diseñando ingeniosos disfraces para ayudar al pavo a esconderse. Los resultados han sido fantásticos y llenos de imaginación.

Hoy queremos agradecer al colegio de Tulsa su propuesta y el material compartido, que nos ha permitido seguir aprendiendo juntos a través del juego, la cultura y la creatividad. Les enviamos un vídeo con todos nuestros trabajos y esperamos que disfruten de los resultados tanto como nosotros hemos disfrutado creándolos.

Thank You, Tulsa! Our “Turkey in Disguise” Activity

Our enriching cultural exchange with our partner school in Tulsa, Oklahoma continues to grow, and today we would like to send a very special thank-you message to our American friends.

The students in Tulsa shared with us the entertaining story “Turkey Trouble” along with their wonderful work, and our 1st Grade children truly enjoyed the activity. The tale of the turkey trying to disguise himself to avoid being chosen for Thanksgiving dinner sparked laughter, creativity, and great enthusiasm.

After listening to the story, our students completed the “Turkey in Disguise” activity, creating clever and imaginative costumes to help the turkey hide. The results were fantastic and full of creativity.

We want to thank the Tulsa school for this lovely proposal and for sharing your materials with us. It has allowed us to keep learning together through culture, imagination, and fun. We are sending you a video with all our creations, and we hope you enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed making them.

¡Comienza nuestro intercambio cultural con Tulsa, Oklahoma!

    Nos complace informar a todas las familias que nuestro alumnado de 1º de Primaria ha iniciado un emocionante intercambio cultural con un grupo de niños y niñas de la misma edad del Colegio EISENHOWER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, ubicado en Tulsa, Oklahoma (EE. UU.). 

Esta experiencia forma parte de nuestro proyecto bilingüe y tiene como objetivo que los niños y niñas de ambos centros puedan practicar y disfrutar del aprendizaje de una segunda lengua: el inglés para nuestro alumnado y el español para nuestros nuevos amigos estadounidenses.

Durante el curso, se ha planificado un intercambio mensual en el que se abordarán temas culturales, medioambientales y científicos, siempre adaptados a los intereses y curiosidades del alumnado de esta etapa educativa.

Our Cultural Exchange with Tulsa Has Begun!

We are very happy to announce that our 1st Grade students have started an exciting cultural exchange with a group of children of the same age from EISENHOWER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA).

This experience is part of our bilingual education project and aims to give all students the opportunity to enjoy learning and practicing a second language — English for our pupils and Spanish for our American friends.

Throughout the school year, we have planned a series of monthly exchanges focused on cultural, environmental, and scientific topics that connect with the curiosity and interests of children at this stage of learning.

The adventure has already begun! We have received the first introduction video from our friends in Tulsa, and our students have also prepared their own presentation. Our video focuses on the joint celebration of Autumn and Halloween, a fun theme that allowed everyone to share traditions, vocabulary, and lots of creativity.

We are sure this exchange will be an enriching experience, helping our students develop communication skills, cultural understanding, and motivation for language learning.

European Day of Languages 25/26

 Celebrating the European Day of Languages at Our School

On September 26th, our school joined the celebration of the European Day of Languages, a special occasion that highlights Europe’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity, and encourages language learning from an early age. Throughout the day, students from all stages took part in various activities organized by the teaching staff and the bilingualism team. These activities were adapted to each age group and provided a fun and educational opportunity to explore the importance of learning languages.

• Infant and First Cycle students celebrated a multilingual “Happy Birthday” in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese — a fun and familiar way to engage with different languages through a song everyone knows.

• In the Second Cycle, pupils reflected on the advantages of learning languages. After sharing their ideas, they wrote these benefits in six different languages and created a craft project to go along with them.

• Third Cycle students enjoyed a lively round of the popular game “Pasapalabra”, adapted specially for this day. The questions, prepared by the bilingualism team, focused on topics related to the European Day of Languages, allowing students to learn and have fun at the same time.
