Celebrating the European Day of Languages at Our School
On September 26th, our school joined the celebration of the European Day of Languages, a special occasion that highlights Europe’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity, and encourages language learning from an early age. Throughout the day, students from all stages took part in various activities organized by the teaching staff and the bilingualism team. These activities were adapted to each age group and provided a fun and educational opportunity to explore the importance of learning languages.
Infant and First Cycle students celebrated a multilingual “Happy Birthday” in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese — a fun and familiar way to engage with different languages through a song everyone knows.
In the Second Cycle, pupils reflected on the advantages of learning languages. After sharing their ideas, they wrote these benefits in six different languages and created a craft project to go along with them.
Third Cycle students enjoyed a lively round of the popular game “Pasapalabra”, adapted specially for this day. The questions, prepared by the bilingualism team, focused on topics related to the European Day of Languages, allowing students to learn and have fun at the same time.
We would like to thank all the students and teachers for their enthusiasm and active participation.
